Light comedy with a morale tale. The pretext is a Palestinian soap opera popular on both sides of the divide. Writer Salam is coerced into working secretly with Israeli army officer Assi who wants his side shown more sympathetically. Their relationship creates moments of humour and tension mimicking the situation on the ground. Placing a soap opera within a soap opera is a clever premise. Enjoyable though the politics is treated gently.
