Diary 2014-12
Where: Up North: the new, Salford Quays
When: Tuesday 17th June 2014
My experience of Manchester is limited to the railway station, airport and the tram ride to Salford Quays. There’s a mixed feeling of Victorian affluence in decline and successive attempts at regeneration not quite making it. Salford Quays is a good example. Formerly the Manchester Docks a mix of landmark buildings, low rise and high rise offices and apartments. Individually exciting yet collectively failing to create any sense of “place”.
