7th Asian Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (5.0/5)
Gallery of Modern Art
Brisbane
9th December 2012
A feast for the eyes, reviving food for the soul. 75 artists/groups from 27 countries; ceremonial masks to massive yellow and blue sculptures of Ikea cardboard boxes. Daniel Boyd's aboriginal dot art, a four screen projection flowing from traditional imaginary to C21st iconography is one of several exceptional video installations. A 75 word review cannot do justice to this rewarding exhibition - go see!
Art and About: a personal blog comprising "On Show" arts reviews (all in 75 words or less) and travel diaries. I write about what matters to me. The Arts matter because they offer joy and sadness, thrills and insights. Travel matters because like the Arts it broadens the mind and soul with new experiences.
