Potted Potter (2.0/5)
Comedy Theatre, Melbourne
21 October 2012
Seven novels and eight movies condensed into seventy minutes. Kids and families lapped-up the slapstick comedy of this somewhat selective, superficial and at times frantic Potter précis. Unaccompanied adults enjoyed the occasional chuckle but otherwise were left wishing for a cloak of invisibility. Potted Potter takes the quickest route to kiddy humour, absent the subtle innuendo and elaborate costumes that gives the best of pantomime broader appeal and a touch of class.
Art and About: a personal blog comprising "On Show" arts reviews (all in 75 words or less) and travel diaries. I write about what matters to me. The Arts matter because they offer joy and sadness, thrills and insights. Travel matters because like the Arts it broadens the mind and soul with new experiences.
