Flirt with Reality (2.0/5)

Five pieces of innovative choreography by David Middendorp. Unfortunately without a synopsis the themes are somewhat of a mystery, the works reduced to movement and music in which the action did not always excel and at times was overtaken by the soundtrack. The centrepiece ‘Airman’ combing dancer and drones seemed dated, nowadays drones in the arts greatly exceed this novelty from 2011. Overall a production in need of refinement and a more considered presentation.
