An exhibition of Belle Epoque era posters that as an historical exploration of one of Brussels most successful periods (1885-1914) is somewhat lacking in detail and explanation. Conversely, this is a colourful display of reproduction posters from an optimistic, if not hedonistic, era in which creativity and technical innovation flowed freely into the consumerism and advertising we know today. As artwork that may provoke some reflection on a past era this exhibition has merit.
