A colourful exhibition of Hockney's recent work. Despite their bold colours I found the 82 portraits somewhat cold, lacking a connection between sitter, artist and viewer. The digital and seasonal landscapes revived my spirits with Hockney's bright yet subtle handling of colour across digital, oil and video mediums presenting the most beautiful of English landscapes from Spring to Winter. If this is a metaphor for the artist's age it is one full of brightness.
