Disappointing and uninspiring contemporary dance. Carnivale - an attempt to interpret animalistic ritual seemed jagged, lacking the power and draw of the wild. What’s Left lingered on climate change but brought only a lot of hand-wringing, rolling around helplessness. Transducer delivered an exciting electric guitar version of Bolero and a ragged reworking of the excellent Fugue. In between Co:Youth's fifty plus young dancers marching band precision was sadly stripped of passion. An inauspicious first season for CO3.
