My Uncle lives in the ancient Kingdom of Wessex (SW England). Home of Arthurian legend and Æthelstan first King of England (927-939) who conquered adjacent kingdoms weakened by Danish invaders (another coincidence!) and everything else is history. A lush green land of rolling hills dotted by heritage buildings and country pubs from all ages. The Nog Inn for good traditional fare, excellent Sunday lunch at The Stags Head Inn and to Harvey Nicks for something contemporary.
