Diary 2014-09
Where: Foyles Bookshop, Charing Cross, London
When: Thursday 12th June 2014
After 80-years the book-lovers bookshop has moved. The new store with four miles of shelving opened this week. For a deprived bibliophile from Australia this is heaven. To browse amongst four miles of new shelves, caress the timber and reverently finger each text in an atmosphere tinged with lingering odours of woodwork and freshly printed books is bliss. To save the credit card and excess baggage I purchase to just two books.
