Dolly Parton's a good old showgal with a touching rags to riches tale to tell with her crystal clear voice. It's a shame the sound is so poor that it's only when the band restricts itself to strings and snare drum that there's any musical quality to this show. Expecting country and blues it's more pop without the snap and crackle, which is a great shame given Parton's talent and catalogue.
