A satisfying comprehensive retrospective documenting Roberts' maturing into one of Australia's finest rural life and landscape artists, often citied as the first to master the light of the southern sun.  It all comes together not in a landscape nor the shearer's shed but in "The Big Picture"; a detailed portrayal of over 200 participants gathered for Australia's first Parliament bathed in sunlight from the towering clerestory of the Royal Exhibition Hall.
