The corp are stunning, their beautifully fluttering wings and precise formation changes a magnificent portrayal of swans in flight. Cao's interpretation of beauty, sadness, darkness and joy is sublime. After a slow start at Siegfried's party Deane's ballet hits it's stride with the swan hunt and never looks back. The men are somewhat peripheral, but then this is a ballet for ballerinas in tutus and it certainly deliveries.
